Family time plus Shopping plus Art show plus Culture plus Ghosts

So much stuff has happened this week that it's crazy and I feel so lucky to be kicking it around in life and enjoying it.

I went home last weekend to see my folks and we ended up getting the nieces for a sleepover.
My nieces are really sweet and cool I like to teach them how to make things and draw with them. I don't get to see them very often and often hope there al right growing up without me around them for advice cause I remember how troubled I was growing up. Kids do tire you out though that might just be me getting old though ha ha. We had a movie and craft night and it was a lot of fun Pj's were for the win!

The next day after a fun night with the kids I got to see my sister and she gave me belated birthday cards and it's always lovely to see her. :) My parents fancied a day out in Glasgow so we took a wee trip in and they took me to Yo Sushi. Which is my fav place to eat ever ever ever! Have to give my parents credit since it's not the kinda place or food they really enjoy but they actually tried things this time which was exciting! The food was amazing as always my folks had never seen me eat so enthusiastically and I'm so grateful they took me as I never get to go to a Yo Sushi except around my bday.

We also did some clothes shopping I'm always a sucker for bargains and have not bought any new clothes for myself for a good while. I got both these for three pounds each. I actually love the skirt it flares out and is just the right shape for me and the see through top is so comfy and surprisingly warm!

RIGHT! on to the important stuff I now have my work for sale and show at Bar Ten in Glasgow it's on till February the 16th! This event was made possible by the wonderful Artist's collective 'Any 'And Or'

If any you guys are near Glasgow pop in for a wee while and have a wee drink at the bar and enjoy some art!

It was such an awesome night we didn't get to stay very long but it was so exciting to see my work getting looked at by the public. I get really nervous and scared when I put my work out there and I dunno why. Might be because I'm still getting used to doing that exposing yourself as an artist and your work can be quite a daunting thing. I mean your showing parts of yourself and parts your expressing of your inner most passions, fears and dreams and you've put it down in visual form for all to see it's quite extraordinary.

Then the next day I was off to the beautiful city of Edinburgh to see War horse a dear friend of mine invited me to go with him and we had such a great time. We got to eat at a cute little Cafe right next to the theatre we are going to be doing a puppet project together so he he felt it would be good for me to see.

Oh my it was so beautiful I cried so much I only knew the story of War Horse but was not expecting all the puppetry and effects. It made me so happy to be alive to witness such a beautiful masterpiece I was so lucky to go see it. If you guys like puppets and deep subject matters then please go see it you will love it so much!

Weirdly enough me and a lot of friends have been on the subjects of Ghosts and spirits quite a lot and at my friends yesterday we ended up talking about Ouija boards and ways to contact the dead. This conversation ended up leading us to making one and trying it out.

Now I've never really dabbled in the paranormal I did what most British folk do and settled down once a week at night to watch Most Haunted on the Tele with my parents. I'm quite a logical person and like to think I know better when it comes to tricks and natural occurrences. Even though I have experienced quite a few paranormal things happening to me over time and still have no explanation to them. I used to believe in spirits quite a bit and I guess I still do to a degree but sometimes I think it can just be our own minds or belief's that we want to believe in something beyond so badly.

So I had no idea what I was doing with an Ouija boards when I remembered the day before talking to my Christian friend how I would never do one. But curiosity got the better of me and I gave it a go and it was a really good experience. We apparently made 'contact' with someone and got to ask them lots of interesting questions and we followed all the rules and weren't disrespectful.

How about you guys?
Do you believe in Ghosts or an afterlife? Any weird experiences happened to you?

In other news my poor dog might have to be put down next week and it's hitting me harder than I thought it would. And my depression has been creeping up on me more when I thought it had gone so the last couple of days have been a bit rough.

I hope you guys have a good weekend and I'll need to check out your blogs soon.
Take care

Beauty Product Review : Lily of the Valley shower gel and Sanctuary bath creme

It has been a while since I've did one of these reviews but I would like to get back into the swing of things around here. I used these products up a while ago but I still wanted to share them with you guys.

The happiest being the highest and the saddest being the lowest.

Lily of the Valley Shower Gel

This little guy didn't last me a great length of time maybe about a month, maybe less than that but I mean it is a small bottle. It came in another set of products with the same theme and brand but I have yet to use them.
The smell of the product is probably the best thing about it if you like weak but natural smelling products. This smell was also a favourite of my Grandmother and she would always smell like it so the product has some memory attachment for me.
Since it is a shower gel it does have a gel like consistency so personally it doesn't feel that pleasant on the skin for me anyway. It's almost like it's washing up liquid but using it on other parts of your body feels a bit strange ha ha. But it does make you feel cleaner and refreshed since after using it.
Price wise I can't argue with as it was a gift and as part of a small beauty set and as far as I'm aware the set is from Poundland so it is a great stocking filler for just £1.00.
The packaging is clean and crisp and using the simple lay out of text and the image it is clear and to the point of what the product is. The colour of green and white also gives the impression of it being natural and to cleanse if you like that sort of thing.
Personally I don't think I would buy this product again because of the little amount you get. It wasn't to my taste of how it felt on my skin but I wouldn't mind trying other alternative products with Lily of the Valley scent.

Not one of the best products but as a little extra for friends or yourself and as a money saver not bad.

Sanctuary bath creme

This product ended up lasting me a great length of time for being such a small bottle it lasted for a good few months if used nearly every wash. It also came in another set of products of different kinds I'm still using them currently to try the others out. The smell of the product is quite strong I found like a perfume since it has coconut, honey, and spices which gave it's smell a kick. I personally like all those kind of smells apart from the spices but if your someone who doesn't like mature strong smelling perfume wouldn't recommend this.
I enjoyed washing myself with this product as the consistency of the liquid was really creamy and soft and you get a lot of the product in just one squeeze. It feels very soft and luxurious on the skin and I
felt very clean and pampered after using it.
Cost on it's own I can't find it on the website but I have found the beauty set it is part of. £13.10 isn't bad at all for the quality of product you get and the other different types included in the set.
The Packaging is quite pleasant and I do like the design and body shape for holding would say it looks pretty fancy ha ha. I do really like the design on the beauty set box as it is already like it is gift wrapped if you were wanting to give it as a present.
Overall the product is really good quality and presentation is great but think I would rather buy the set for a friend than rather for myself the next time.

Pretty positive over all my experience was of this product and wouldn't mind using again but would also like to buy for a friend.

That was really fun to do one of these again!

Some recent buys, sushi making with friends with uni work and outfit post

Hey guys been currently dying of the cold I've had it for a couple of weeks sadly so things have been a bit slow. But kinda funny I had no voice for a few days so that must of been a given for some people cause I like to talk a lot haha!

But I've had a lot of work for university as well but powered through it despite illness and still been going to my part time job. Today has been the first day I got to spend some time in bed to recover of sorts.

Before I got ill and busy with uni work tho I had some adventures I can show you guys I don't wanna neglect this little internet space of mine. D8

Since it is getting a a lot colder these days thought it would be a good idea to invest in some warm/pretty clothes went on a mini spree and got myself some things from New Look's online shop. I had not did an online shop as big as this before as being so far behind in the internet shopping wonders of our time. I'm usually someone who enjoys exploring shops and trying things on before I buy them or spending that time with a friend.

I got this fox Hoodie and fell in love with it in the actual shop but couldn't get it at the time it's also my fave colour for autumn burgundy. It's also from the kids section of new look but their is other animals to choose from in the adult section. But a fox with a moustache what more could you want out of life!

Can't express how much joy this Hoodie has brought people around me and I wear it everyday creepily like a second skin.

I got this cute light blue denim looking dress as well and it was on sale so it was a bit cheaper. The reason I wanted it though was because I was itching for a light blue flared skirt and they were always quite pricey. But this caught my eye and was a lot cheaper and I can pull over a cosy jumper and have the collar poke out the top. Thought it was a nicer option and it came with a cute belt to. :)

This has became one of my fav things to wear just now I adore the pattern and how it looks like a tapestry it's so cosy and comfortable too. Feel like a lady when wearing it and the best thing ever that is has pockets!

To take the postage up to being free they had a deal on to buy a scarf and you could get another free so I got these cute little guys. One has pretty birds and flowers in trees on it and the other is a print of little owls on it for more darker wardrobe. Their so pretty and I'm so pleased with how quick all the items came in the post was exciting!

I'll have to try this online shopping again in the future. :)

A dear uni friend of mine invited me and my other friend over to hers one night to make sushi with each other. I had never made sushi before and that was evident in my results ha ha but my goodness it was some of the most delicious food I've ever had. I would totally recommend making and consuming fresh sushi.

It was such an awesome night filled with catching up, laughter, good vibes, and food look forward to doing it again so much!

In uni life I've been working on a lot of things despite my cold I had some deadlines already this week so apologies for lack of bloggage.

I spent the whole of Wednesday creating this little diorama based on a short story we had to study in class. Ally helped me with the LED lights since I had not used them before but I found and created everything else for the box.

These were the sides of the boxes based on the story.

I created a little drawer for the box as well and lined it with playing cards and little bits and pieces. My teachers were pleased so hoorah!

For my other class I've been using a lot of natural materials and putting them into resin and doing photo shoots outside in woods. The blog for this project is here.

Hello Mr Tree!

So yeahs I have been doing things but sadly been so busy not managed to have even half an hour to myself to write some blog posts for you guys. ): I've been trying to keep up with everyone's blogs as well so apologies guys. I've got next week off to catch up with reading for university but hopefully some other cheeky blog posts and some Deborah time.
That is if this cold shifts by then too!
