Capricorn baby adventures and some recent changes

Hey guys a lot of things have been happening in the last couple of weeks it's sorta been a whirlwind of activity. First off it was my birthday on the 4rth of January so I got spoiled rotten yet again right after Christmas. Had a little get together at my flat with some friends just a quiet one but we played games and ate food and peeps brought me some things it was lovely.!

After a lot of thinking and weighing out my options over the holidays I decided to leave my crummy part time job. And I feel so good about it's unreal and have actually been so busy and upbeat from this one simple change that it's so positive and been a lot happier! :D

I'm now back at university at this week and it's already really daunting but very exciting and the first day after quitting my job I already got invited to sell prints at an exhibition! And already got some other art projects on the way which is exactly what I wanted and can't wait to do as much projects as I can.

So it's been catching up with old friends over dinner and some partying but the day after my birthday a good friend of mine and her boyfriend took me on a car trip so we could take photography pictures together. :)

We went looking for sea lion's along a beach but it is rather cold here so it must not been a good time of year to see them but I loved the trip so much the place was beautiful.

There was a lot of old war and fisherman buildings along the beach so the place had a lot of history which is always awesome to find. This little place above was to keep fish back in the day and it said bats usually roost inside there. We found a little opening which was pitch black and we were all daring each other to take pictures with flash on inside was pretty funny and scary but nothing happened.

So indeed ladies and gents I'm in a good place just now and a great start to 2014 and excited to see where I'll go creatively this year. Ally also gave me a haircut so I have boyish hair again which I love feels so much better waaaaaah!

Heres a wee cheeky outfit post taken on my birthday hope you like my attractive slipper socks!

Dress: Charity shop
Jumper: George Asda (Christmas gift)
Tights: Primark

I'll try to update you guys soon about the exhibition which is next week and I hope your new years have started out great for you too!

Take care

Some recent buys, sushi making with friends with uni work and outfit post

Hey guys been currently dying of the cold I've had it for a couple of weeks sadly so things have been a bit slow. But kinda funny I had no voice for a few days so that must of been a given for some people cause I like to talk a lot haha!

But I've had a lot of work for university as well but powered through it despite illness and still been going to my part time job. Today has been the first day I got to spend some time in bed to recover of sorts.

Before I got ill and busy with uni work tho I had some adventures I can show you guys I don't wanna neglect this little internet space of mine. D8

Since it is getting a a lot colder these days thought it would be a good idea to invest in some warm/pretty clothes went on a mini spree and got myself some things from New Look's online shop. I had not did an online shop as big as this before as being so far behind in the internet shopping wonders of our time. I'm usually someone who enjoys exploring shops and trying things on before I buy them or spending that time with a friend.

I got this fox Hoodie and fell in love with it in the actual shop but couldn't get it at the time it's also my fave colour for autumn burgundy. It's also from the kids section of new look but their is other animals to choose from in the adult section. But a fox with a moustache what more could you want out of life!

Can't express how much joy this Hoodie has brought people around me and I wear it everyday creepily like a second skin.

I got this cute light blue denim looking dress as well and it was on sale so it was a bit cheaper. The reason I wanted it though was because I was itching for a light blue flared skirt and they were always quite pricey. But this caught my eye and was a lot cheaper and I can pull over a cosy jumper and have the collar poke out the top. Thought it was a nicer option and it came with a cute belt to. :)

This has became one of my fav things to wear just now I adore the pattern and how it looks like a tapestry it's so cosy and comfortable too. Feel like a lady when wearing it and the best thing ever that is has pockets!

To take the postage up to being free they had a deal on to buy a scarf and you could get another free so I got these cute little guys. One has pretty birds and flowers in trees on it and the other is a print of little owls on it for more darker wardrobe. Their so pretty and I'm so pleased with how quick all the items came in the post was exciting!

I'll have to try this online shopping again in the future. :)

A dear uni friend of mine invited me and my other friend over to hers one night to make sushi with each other. I had never made sushi before and that was evident in my results ha ha but my goodness it was some of the most delicious food I've ever had. I would totally recommend making and consuming fresh sushi.

It was such an awesome night filled with catching up, laughter, good vibes, and food look forward to doing it again so much!

In uni life I've been working on a lot of things despite my cold I had some deadlines already this week so apologies for lack of bloggage.

I spent the whole of Wednesday creating this little diorama based on a short story we had to study in class. Ally helped me with the LED lights since I had not used them before but I found and created everything else for the box.

These were the sides of the boxes based on the story.

I created a little drawer for the box as well and lined it with playing cards and little bits and pieces. My teachers were pleased so hoorah!

For my other class I've been using a lot of natural materials and putting them into resin and doing photo shoots outside in woods. The blog for this project is here.

Hello Mr Tree!

So yeahs I have been doing things but sadly been so busy not managed to have even half an hour to myself to write some blog posts for you guys. ): I've been trying to keep up with everyone's blogs as well so apologies guys. So much Jammed into this post its gonna be sticky - Celebrations, seeing family and award winning.

Oooooh boy so much has happened in the past week its actually been crazy crazy! I dunno if the picture above counts as an outfit post but there you go. Me chilling at my classmates flat on Sunday night having a couple and good times.

Me and my lovely went out to have a celebratory dinner thing since he found out he got a full time job at a game company in the town where we study. I'm so happy and proud for him things are looking up for him big time. I need to try to catch up and do good in my next year of uni and over the summer!

The ice cream machine had a bit of a eh malfunction but I guess it worked in his favour if you look at it with your stomach! XD

We also saw a movie at the weekend and he brought me sushi for my dinner to eat at the cinema right after my shift at work.

My Hero!
Were thinking of starting a blog about Alastair just eating things in the same angles ha ha!

We saw an Art collaboration film called the ABC'S of Death which was 26 short films each with a theme and letter of the alphabet and created by artists all over the world. OH MY LORD it was so intense, hilarious. terrifying and beautiful. If you like this sort of thing and aren't to squeamish totally go and see it!

We both went home for the week to see our families and to go to the award ceremony his game has been nominated at. Even when I go home things are always so eventful theirs always a lot of traveling involved and people to see to catch up with. The parents and I took the nieces to the transport museum and it's actually so cool.

It was a fun filled day and we did many other things but it would be to much to try to fit in this jam sticky post! As well as seeing my own family time is always spent with Allys family just as much on my visit back home. This canal is so beautiful in the summer time can't wait to go on walks in the sun and show you guys!

This is also Al's family's new dog Harley hes such a little poser.
CUTE BLOG FILLER!

Their was also quite a few trips to Glasgow on our adventures we saw an old friend and took him to eat a YO Sushi lunch! We had rain a lot but it didn't spoil the fun whoohoo!

We also went to the Creative Scotland Student Media Awards where Ally's game for his Honors project was nominated. You can play his game here .

And the Winner was...

ALASTAIR WON  INTERACTIVE MEDIA/APPS/BEST COMPUTER GAME CONCEPT AWARD?!!!!!

I'm so proud and happy for him hes had such a great time the past few weeks and everything is just on the up and up for him! He just needs to do his showcase at uni at the end of the month and a Pechakucha talk next week.
So things have been full of good times, happy tears, amazing food and positive vibes!

As for me finally christened the mole skinned sketchpad ha ha and been planning a holiday with my Dad. Also with tidying up and getting ready to move out of the current flat and playing the supportive girlfriend role. OH! and finally playing Bioshock 1 on the side ofcourse ;)

I dunno if I could top the award winning greatness above but here's a wee cheeky outfit post.

Dress: TK Max
Blazer: Primark
Tights: Primark
Necklace: Claries
Ring: Claries

This blazer has sorta became my second skin really need to wear something else ha ha.
Recently did some thrifting as well but I'll leave that for another post and I plan to start archiving all my artwork. All this award winning and creativeness wants me to remind myself of anything I have achieved artistically.
Might give me a wee arty boost! :)

How are you all doing?
