Euphoria tornado

Secretly I have been experimenting with body movement and listening to music when I can't sleep which is often. Not just using my body for dancing which is a happy past time but using my physical and mental ability to express movement and emotion based on each audio track.

Tonight was very profound from start to finish of a certain song my whole being was a euphoria tornado. My movements and emotions very intense I had forgot everything around me and everything that ever mattered. It was just my body and soul, pulsing and twitching to the audio pumping into my ears. Very much so that I scratched my limbs and skin raw but not so much to escape but that the audio made me, nay it commanded me!

It was not planned or expected it was purely my body and emotions carrying me on this small journey which felt like a lifetime but was only a couple of minutes. It was all that mattered and ever mattered in those moments it felt like my body created a void for it and it's all that ever was.

Some sort of artistic ecstasy I have never known, maybe others have felt this before?

Maybe it should be continued as performance art but it doesn't feel like it's something than can be contained.

Capricorn baby adventures and some recent changes

Hey guys a lot of things have been happening in the last couple of weeks it's sorta been a whirlwind of activity. First off it was my birthday on the 4rth of January so I got spoiled rotten yet again right after Christmas. Had a little get together at my flat with some friends just a quiet one but we played games and ate food and peeps brought me some things it was lovely.!

After a lot of thinking and weighing out my options over the holidays I decided to leave my crummy part time job. And I feel so good about it's unreal and have actually been so busy and upbeat from this one simple change that it's so positive and been a lot happier! :D

I'm now back at university at this week and it's already really daunting but very exciting and the first day after quitting my job I already got invited to sell prints at an exhibition! And already got some other art projects on the way which is exactly what I wanted and can't wait to do as much projects as I can.

So it's been catching up with old friends over dinner and some partying but the day after my birthday a good friend of mine and her boyfriend took me on a car trip so we could take photography pictures together. :)

We went looking for sea lion's along a beach but it is rather cold here so it must not been a good time of year to see them but I loved the trip so much the place was beautiful.

There was a lot of old war and fisherman buildings along the beach so the place had a lot of history which is always awesome to find. This little place above was to keep fish back in the day and it said bats usually roost inside there. We found a little opening which was pitch black and we were all daring each other to take pictures with flash on inside was pretty funny and scary but nothing happened.

So indeed ladies and gents I'm in a good place just now and a great start to 2014 and excited to see where I'll go creatively this year. Ally also gave me a haircut so I have boyish hair again which I love feels so much better waaaaaah!

Heres a wee cheeky outfit post taken on my birthday hope you like my attractive slipper socks!

Dress: Charity shop
Jumper: George Asda (Christmas gift)
Tights: Primark

I'll try to update you guys soon about the exhibition which is next week and I hope your new years have started out great for you too!

Take care
love

*BA DISH*
Great news! I managed to sell my print above at the silent auction. That's £50 donated to the Castle mental health charity very pleased to donate to the cause and what a lovely wee night it was.

It's a nice and scary feeling all the same time when you find people looking at your work out in the open. It's an experience I'm still getting used to it and I'm a very shy and modest person in real life especially about my artwork. I don't have the best self esteam sometimes and when it comes to showing art it can be a very vulnrable place cause your showing people what's inside of your head and heart. Your exposing your self and it's really strange I wish I could shake off those feelings and be proud of what I can do and enjoy it more instead of worrying what others might think or judge me on it.

Over all they made £500 pounds in total which is awesome considering it was the first Auction and turn out they had.

It was a lovely night  and all in all it was amazing to discuss art and how it hels mental illness with others and how art helps express illness in ways we usually can't. It was so beautiful and inspiring to be there and be with these people and relate to them through art and mental health.

I actually suffer from depression and anixety which makes things difficult sometimes for me in my life trying to do everyday tasks. It used to be so much worse but these days I'm a lot better and getting through things a day at a time.
Have to admit been going through it a bit again lately and a lot of stress in my personal and working life. But art helps me get through it in so many ways that it should never be taken for granted how it's sometimes peoples only escape or help. :)

Which I really need to do more of seriously Debz practice what you preach hahahahaha...hah!

Now on to the part why your really here the outfit post guys!

Dress: Thrifted
Cardigan: Tesco f&f
Necklace: Claires
Shoes: Peacocks

I got this dress quite a while ago but never got around to wearing it but it was perfect for a warm casual day. Loving my thrifted dresses just now especially with the pockets can't get enough of those pockets! Suspose its a bit dark for the summer time this outift but guess it's reflecting my hidden depressy moods these days.

I'm home seeing the family just now before uni starts again so squeezing in some quality time. Took my Mum out shopping and we bought pretty things as you do so I'll show you guys next post!

Not really important but also got a haircut.

You guys having a nice week?
Catch you soon.

Exciting arty news with some Geeking out and thrifted dress outfit

"Agoraphobia"

Hey guys!

I have exciting news this week on Thursday I'll be donating some of my work to a silent Auction for a mental illness Charity. It kinda happened spur of the moment but I'm proud to donate some work to the cause. :) I'll be donating the piece above and the two below.

"Generalized Anxiety Disorder"

"Post Traumatic Stress Disorder"

The Auction event is here their will be entertainment, refreshments and arty farty stuff I'm very excited since I have not entered my work in anything for quite a while!
My online portfolio of the project is here and I'll be sure to take some snapshots of the event for you guys in a future post. :)

Been having an art drought this Summer cause of things adult related including working at a job and I really needed this to give me a little boost again. :)
It's perked me a up a lot cause was starting to get a little unhappy and stressed out about a lot of things but it's helped out a lot.

Another thing that helps out is good food and good company I had my dear nephew staying with me and Ally for a few days last week. More BBQ was required!

It was such a wonderful few days my Nephew is like the little Brother I've never had were really close and its such an awesome wee guy. We spent days Geeking out, playing many video games, internet memes, trading card games such as Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! I also showed him around my Student town and we went to Museums, Galleries and me and Ally treated him (and ourselves) to Monsters University which so beautiful and hilarious. I cried so much at 'The Blue Umbrella' ALL MY FEELS?!

It was such a beautiful and ridiculously funny few days I've not been able to see my Nephew since January because of a silly Family feud that's been going on. Welcome to Debz personal life so it was even more wonderful we were allowed to see each other on this rare occasion.

On the side still trying to sort out the new place Ally has to much Gamer stuff waaaaah! So the tour will have to wait.

I can show you a small part of the bedroom for now ha ha think this will be the outfit post space these days. This is my favourite dress at the moment I adore the shape of it so much as it suits my boyish figure. So into looking for these types of dresses in charity shops especially with pockets bitches love pockets.

Dress: Thrifted
Belt: Primark
Shoes: Primark

And I'll leave you with this embarrassing snapshot of me trying to not look stupid ha ha
Last time I get Ally's assistance humbug! XD

I bought some new things to but I'll show you guys them soon and recently been taking pictures of make up and products I like.
Would you guys like to see them as a new blog feature thingy?

Hope you guys are having a great week!
Take care
